Are you bored of the usual non-matte, glossy lipsticks? Are the expensive matte lipsticks burning a hole in your pocket? Are you unable to find a matte lipstick in the desired shade? Here is an economical and easy way to convert any non-matte, glossy lipstick of any shade into a matte lipstick with a simple hack. All you need is some loose powder and you’re sorted! Read on to know how.

Step 1: Apply your non-matte lipstick just as you would normally apply a lipstick.

Step 2: Take some loose powder or talc and dab it evenly onto your lips with a brush or your fingers.

Step 3: Press and rub your lips against each other.

Step 4: Hold on for 10 seconds.

Step 5: Now gently wipe out the applied powder with the help of a cotton ball or a tissue paper. Don’t go hard on your lips while wiping. Just make sure the whiteness is gone.

Step 6: Rub your lips against each other to make sure the whiteness is gone and all you see is the color.

Voila! You have your non-matte lipstick converted into a matte one! You will visibly notice the matte finish.

Precautions: You may apply a lip balm over your lips before starting with the whole process because talc may dry out your lips or you may apply a lip balm after removing the lipstick to make up for the loss of moisture.
