Peach fuzz is the short and fine hair that usually appears on the face. It may appear on other parts of the body as well. It is very natural to have peach fuzz but sometimes, it can be rather embarrassing if it becomes very apparent. Also, make-up does not blend well due to peach fuzz.

It is difficult to get rid of peach fuzz even with modern sophisticated methods of hair removal like laser or electrolysis. Reason being peach fuzz is usually light and laser does not work on light hair. As for electrolysis, it is very difficult to get through each hair follicle as the hair is very fine.

Here’s a DIY method where you can get rid of peach fuzz in 10 minutes flat using a home-made peach fuzz removal mask!

For this you would need:

  • Juice of half lemon
  • Honey
  • Egg white of one egg
  • Tissue paper

Procedure:

Wash and clean your skin with soap.

Pat your skin dry.

Extract juice of half lemon in a bowl and mix one fourth teaspoonful of honey to it.

Mix both the ingredients well.

Apply this mixture on the skin using cotton swab or a brush.

Let this mixture sit on your face for 2 minutes.

Then, apply a thin and uniform layer of egg white on the skin.

Now, place a tissue paper over this area and press so that the tissue paper sticks to the skin firmly.

Avoid any gaps or folds in the paper.

Leave this mask to dry. This will take approximately 5-7 minutes.

Once the mask and tissue paper dries off completely, hold the loose end of the tissue paper and pull it away from the face. Make sure to pull the tissue paper in the direction opposite to the direction of growth of peach fuzz.

Voila! And it’s done!

You will notice that all the peach fuzz is transferred onto the tissue paper and your skin is peach fuzz free!

Follow Up: Remove any residues of tissue paper that might remain on the skin and wash your skin with mild soap and pat dry.

You may follow up with a moisturizer in case your skin feels very dry.

About The Ingredients:

Lemon is an excellent bleaching agent. It lightens the peach fuzz and brightens skin.

Honey is a natural moisturizer. It counter balances the drying effect caused by lemon.

Egg white works as an astringent and helps tighten skin.

The idea behind selecting the above three ingredients is to make sure the mask adheres to the peach fuzz and tissue paper tightly owing to their sticky nature. As a result the peach fuzz sticks to the tissue paper and gets pulled out effortlessly.
