For this, we would need lemon peel of one fresh lemon. (Just use the lemon peel that you might have discarded after squeezing out juice from lemon)
You may use chopped lemon with the pulp also if you desire a strong lemon mist.
Put the peels or chopped lemon in a boiling pan and add 2 cups of water to it. Make sure the water is filtered.
Simmer it till the quantity of water is reduced to that of 1 cup.
Now turn off the stove and let the water cool.
Strain this mixture to remove lemon peels and other residue that might be present.
Transfer this water into a spray bottle.
Add 2 drops of glycerin to the spray bottle.
Close the lid and shake vigorously.
Bingo! Our DIY lemon mist is ready.
How to use?
Each time you want to use it, just spray it all over your face and let it air dry. Shake well before use.
This DIY lemon mist is suitable for people of all skin type; including people with dry skin as glycerin will prevent lemon from dehydrating your skin.
In case you have extremely dry skin and feel this DIY lemon mist is drying out your skin, increase the amount of glycerin that goes into the formulation. In case of extremely oily skin, reduce the amount of glycerin in the formulation or just skip it altogether.
