Dried gel eye liners are one of the most dreaded things any make-up addict can experience, especially, after spending loads of bucks on them.

However, you don’t really have to throw them away. There are ways using which you can revive them and use them till eternity! Haha!

Yes. You read that right. They can be fixed. Here are three hacks using which you can revive dried, cracked gel eye liners and put them to use all over again.

Read on to find out how.

1.Using Heat

Take a sauce pan and fill it with water.

Heat the sauce pan so as to bring the water to boil.

Turn off the stove.

Pour this water into a container with a cap or lid.

Drop the dried gel eye liner pot into the container. Make sure the lid of the gel eye liner is secured tightly.

Close the cap or lid of the container so as to trap the heat and steam of the water inside the container itself.

Let the gel eye liner soak in water for 5-10 minutes.

After about 10 minutes, open the lid of the container and bring the gel eye liner out.

You’ll observe that the dried gel eye liner has turned creamy and you’re good to go!

2.Using Setting Spray

Take the dried gel eye liner pot.

Spray some setting spray into the pot.

Heat the pot gently with a lighter or small candle for about 5 seconds.

Make sure the flame does not touch the gel eye liner itself.

It is only the glass container that is to be heated, not the gel.

In case the container is a plastic one, heat it using the process mentioned in method 1 above.

After heating, take a small spatula or brush and stir the contents of the gel eye liner pot.

All the solidified gel eye liner would melt and become creamy again.

Repeat if necessary, by adding more setting spray.

3.Using Moisturizer

Take any moisturizer of any brand of your preference.

Add a generous amount of it to the dried gel eye liner.

Close the lid of the gel eye liner and shake the container vigorously for 5-10 minutes.

Mix the ingredients with a spatula or make-up brush.

Bingo! The dried gel eye liner would magically turn creamy!

You may repeat this same process using petroleum jelly as well.

You might need to heat the pot using the method mentioned above, in case it does not melt easily.

So, the next time you think of discarding dried gel eye liners, do give these make-up hacks a try.

You’ll save yourself from the agony of throwing away expensive gel eye liners and you’ll save money too.

Cheers!
